With an eye on the June 7 primary, and defying the Democratic establishment that favors frontrunner Hillary Clinton, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) will hold a rally in San Diego, California on Tuesday–the same day as the Arizona and Utah primaries.

On the eve of Mega Tuesday on March 15, when Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri and North Carolina participated in primaries, Sanders held his rally in Arizona, signaling his determination to follow a path forward. Although Clinton wound up sweeping all five states, she only garnered 100 delegates over Sanders, leaving them just 314 delegates away from each other with Sanders at 825 and Clinton at 1,139. The first candidate to win 2,838 delegates wins the party’s nomination.

Now, Sanders will hold his rally in the Golden State while Arizona and Utah are decided, indicating his belief that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for his campaign
