Scammers Target Cedar City Police Lieutenant
Scammers Target Cedar City Police Lieutenant
Cedar City police are issuing another warning about scam calls after criminals tried to victimize one from their own ranks. A scammer claiming to be with Publishers Clearing House reportedly called Lieutenant Keith Millett yesterday, claiming he needed to wire money for taxes on a prize before it could be provided. This follows last week’s warning of a common jury duty scam making the rounds as well. You’re reminded that no company would ask for money up front before providing a prize.
