The Rockville-Spring Dale Fire Protection District’s budget is passed, though not for the amount they wanted.
County commissioners approved a more than 943-thousand dollar budget for 2018 yesterday, about 400-thousand less than the district had proposed. Commissioners took the district’s budgeting authority away earlier this month following their proposal of a one-point-three million dollar budget that would’ve seen property taxes jump more than 260 percent.
