Pilot Lands In St. George Without Gear Fully Extended.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a single-engine plane landing “gear-up” at Saint George Regional Airport. Authorities say the pilot failed to lower his landing gear completely, causing the plane to land on its belly yesterday morning. The plane’s propeller and underside were damaged in the landing. The pilot escaped the incident unharmed and the airport had to close the runway for about half an hour.
