Orrin Hatch Shrugs Off Protesters: ‘Grow Up’
Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah ignited outrage among a gaggle of anti-Kavanaugh protesters Thursday after he refused to engage with them.
“Why aren’t you brave enough to talk to us and exchange with us?” a protester shouted at Hatch, prompting him to wave her away.
“Don’t you wave your hand at me,” the same protester responded. “I wave my hand at you!”
“When you grow up, I’ll be ready,” Hatch fired back, walking into the elevator, away from the crowd.

Tensions among the activists escalated and they all began hollering at the 84-year-old senator. (RELATED: Protesters Shout Down David Perdue While He’s In The Bathroom, He Fires Back)
Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina also snapped at protesters earlier in the day.
The protester began, “If he took a polygraph — ” before Graham interrupted her, asking, “Why don’t we dunk him in the water and see if he floats?”
Left-wing activists have been protesting for weeks against Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court since President Donald Trump announced his nomination in July. He faced allegations of sexual assault from Christine Blasey Ford over claims he pinned her to a bed and tried to remove her clothing during a party in high school, but he has repeatedly denied them.
