We recently told you about the progressive nonsense embraced by Canada. You see, their super cool leader Justin Trudeau recently announced a bill that would criminalize “anti-transgender” speech. That includes any speech that “promotes hatred” on the basis of “gender identity.”

Ambiguous? Certainly. How far would those rules extend? Is it “discriminatory” or “hateful” to refer to a transgender woman as “he”? Or to ask this “he” to use the men’s restroom, even though he self-identifies as a woman?

According to the American left, yes. It is.

You see where I’m going with this. Like the concept the American left’s “open bathroom” policy, Canada’s proposal will open up a whole other world of unintended consequences.

That’s the path we’re on. Is it really a stretch to say that eventually, we could be punished for using the wrong gender pronoun? School districts are already dishing out thousands of dollars to transmasculine/genderqueer teachers who get their feelings hurt when coworkers call them the wrong gender pronoun…. read more here
