Neil Cavuto Recovering From Open Heart Surgery
You might’ve noticed that Fox News host Neil Cavuto has been absent. He’s been off the air since May 31. There’s a pretty big reason for that.
According to this, he had open heart surgery. Monday, actually. But good news! He came through it with “flying colors” and is currently on the mend.
“Neil Cavuto had open heart surgery yesterday and came through it with flying colors,” a Fox News spokesperson said in a statement to PEOPLE. “Knowing Neil, he’ll be back as soon as he can, but he is slated to return to hosting his three programs on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network later this year. Everyone here is wishing him a speedy recovery.”
The anchor was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1997. Having just won a battle with cancer, Cavuto, 57, compared the two illnesses, admitting in a 2007 interview with TVNewser that his second illness was harder to deal with, as there’s no cure for Multiple Sclerosis….read more here
