My revised version of the GOP letter.

Our Brothers have both been criticized for their respective plan. The differences between our heavenly brothers and sisters showcase a diversity of thought, in contrast to the danger of a plan fixated on “unanimity of thought.”

(A) There is power in our differences as a heavenly host, and we look forward to each Brother explaining his vote to the host of heaven. Disagreement is natural and healthy in a kingdom that is based on principles – not on persona. (B) In fact, those principles are the reason behind the salvation, strength of the kingdom of our God. (C).

(A) “Behold, this I have given unto you as a parable, and it is even as I am. I SAY UNTO YOU, BE ONE; AND IF YE ARE NOT ONE YE ARE NOT MINE.” D&C 38:27.

4 AND THOU SEEST THAT WE KNOW THAT THY PLAN WAS A VERY SUBTLE PLAN, as to the subtlety of the devil, for to lie and to deceive this people that thou mightest set them against us, to revile us and to cast us out—

5 Now this was a plan of thine adversary, and he hath exercised his power in thee. Now I would that ye should remember that what I say unto thee I say unto all.

6 And behold I say unto you all that this was a snare of the adversary, which he has laid to catch this people, that he might bring you into subjection unto him, that he might encircle you about with his chains, that he might chain you down to everlasting destruction, according to the power of his captivity.Alma 12:4-6

U’NITY, noun [Latin unitas.]

1. THE STATE OF BEING ONE; oneness. unity may consist of a simple substance or existing being, as the soul; but usually it consists in a close junction of particles or parts, constituting a body detached from other bodies. unity is a thing undivided itself, but separate from ever other thing.

3. Agreement; uniformity; as UNITY OF DOCTRINE; UNITY OF WORSHIP in a church.

4. In christian theology, oneness of sentiment, affection or behavior.

UNANIM’ITY, noun [Latin unus, one, and animus, mind.]

AGREEMENT OF A NUMBER OF PERSONS IN opinion or DETERMINATION; as, there was PERFECT UNANIMITY AMONG THE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL.DETERMINATION, noun

1. The act of determining or deciding.

2. Decision of a question in the mind; FIRM RESOLUTION; SETTLED PURPOSE; as, they have acquainted me with their determination.(

B)8 And under this head ye are made free, and there is no other head whereby ye can be made free. THERE IS NO OTHER NAME GIVEN WHEREBY SALVATION COMETH; therefore, I would that ye should take upon you the name of Christ, all you that have entered into the covenant with God that ye should be obedient unto the end of your lives. – Mosiah 5:8

And Aaron did expound unto him the scriptures from the creation of Adam, laying the fall of man before him, and their carnal state and also the plan of redemption, which was prepared from the foundation of the world, through Christ, for ALL WHOSOEVER WOULD BELIEVE ON HIS NAME. – Alma 22:13.
