Media & Lawmakers hiding costs of Lake Powell Pipeline?
Media & Lawmakers hiding costs of Lake Powell Pipeline?
By Ed Wallace / Publisher at UtahStandardNews.com
KUTV reported TODAY that “A proposed pipeline to bring water from Lake Powell to Washington and Kane Counties will cost $3.2 billion, according to the Utah Rivers Council, a group opposed to the pipeline.
The Utah Rivers Council also says Utah lawmakers were influenced to hide the massive price tag from the public by pipeline lobbyists.”
That quote was copied from the article before it was removed from their site within 1-1/2 hours after publishing. A search of the title “Lake Powell Pipeline price tag $3.2B, Utah lawmakers hid costs from public, group says” shows up in a Yahoo and Google search but does not link to a story.
This story is breaking and more info will follow.

Ed … this is a good pursuit. The LPP is one of a number of cornucopias of corruption. It’s one of those quasi governmental entities like UTA, USTAR, DABC Et. al. I’ve sent you a link to my notes. Best wishes … Wayne
Thanks. It’s one of the most stupid things I’ve ever heard. Business, developers, builders, etc, will benefit by socializing their costs. Big fight ahead.
