There were no motorcycles at the battle of Tewkesbury.  But perhaps bikes have ridden over the hills and roads since that time.

King Edward was 4th Duke of York, 7th Earl of March, 5th Earl of Cambridge and 9th Earl of Ulster. He was also the 65th Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece, and grandfather of the Queen of Scotland, Margaret Stewart (nee Tudor), ancestor of all English and Scots royalty since.

1746 May 4 Hearing that Donald MacLeod had succeeded in hiring a brig for Orkneys, the Prince, attended by O’Sullivan, O’Neil and a guide, landed in Harris, and walked across country towards Stornoway (I. 167).1 Publications OF THE SCOTISH HISTORY SOCIETY VOLUME XXIII April 1897 SUPPLEMENT LYON IN MOURNING PRINCE CHARLES EDWARD STUART ITINERARY AND MAP. Ed.W. B. BLAIKIE, from Narrative of Lord MacLeod, son of the Earl of Cromarty and put up at a poor grass keepers bothy or hut’ (I. 70, 173, 193).1 Donald MacLeod’s story, corroborated by Burke’s, both of whom were with the Prince, seems to me preferable, and it entirely fits in with the subsequent dates given by the later actors in the drama. A leaf of Donald MacLeod’s narrative is unfortunately lost here and we are obliged to fall back on Burke and O’Neil.

The dates and itinerary in South Uist are pieced together thus: Donald MacLeod is followed and his dates accepted up to May 11th, where a portion of his journal is mutilated. Burke is then followed to the 14th , and then O’Neil till June 5th. Then Donald MacLeod again takes up the story on what must have been the 6th , for it is evident that on page 268 Bishop Forbes makes a slip in his interpolation. The date June 14th (I. 268) is manifestly wrong. On the 14th they were sailing south, and the trip to Quia took place before that. No more dates are given till Flora MacDonald takes up the tale, bot by following the narrative from day to day, first by Donald MacLeod, then by Burke, and lastly by Neil MacEachain, the dates are filled exactly up to the time of sailing to Skye. I Alex. MacDonald (I. 326) says the 10th, but this is obviously wrong. Burton and Walkinshaw (I. 70) give the date the 14th , which also coincides with Donald MacLeod and Edward Burke. Montrose (Scottish Gaelic: Monadh Rois) is a coastal resort town in Angus, Scotland. It is situated 38 miles (61 km) north of Dundee between the mouths of the North and South Esk rivers. It is the northernmost coastal town in Angus and developed at a natural harbor that traded in skins, hides and cured salmon in medieval times. Anciently it had a royal charter until 1975, which gave it a monopoly of foreign trade, and a representative in the Parliament of Scotland.

2016 ‘Bob’ Robert Foster Bennett died, author of “Leap of Faith: Confronting the Origins of the Book of Mormon”. The book concerns miracles, and how to evaluate them. Are miracles frauds? Where is the testimony? (clan Grant, and wife clan McKay). What are the motives? How do you combine 3 books into one?

Brother Bennett born, sept 18, 1933, served a Mormon mission in Scotland, and later in the Utah National Guard. Bennett was the son of Frances Marion (née Grant) and the U.S. Senator Wallace Foster Bennett, as well as a grandson of Heber J. Grant, the seventh president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a great-grandson of Jedediah M. Grant (Heber J. Grant’s father) and Daniel H. Wells (through Heber J. Grant’s wife Emily H. Wells), early mayors of Salt Lake City and counselors in the First Presidency of the LDS Church. Bennett married Joyce McKay, a granddaughter of David O. McKay, the ninth president of the Church. He served in the United States Senate for 18 years. Wikipedia.

2016 Donald Trump Isn’t Going to Be President. Let’s look at an electoral map. To succeed where Romney failed, Trump needs to flip at least 69 electoral votes. If Trump wins the four largest swing states—Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia—plus New Hampshire, he wins. If he breaks into the Midwest, he wins. If he captures the entire South, plus New Hampshire or Iowa, he wins. Slate.

2016 The 12 Signs That Trump Will Win the White House. Think the Donald can’t possibly become president? Here’s how it could happen The electoral math is not difficult. Trump, or any Republican for that matter, can’t win the election unless they turn some Obama blue states red. For Trump, with his populist economic message, his best chances are places like Michigan (which Obama won by 9 points in 2012), Ohio (which Obama won by 2), Pennsylvania (which Obama won by 5), and Wisconsin (which Obama won by 7). None of those victories was by an insurmountable margin. A telling sign of Trump’s prospects for electoral success is if he shows he understands that, spending the bulk of his time campaigning in places like Pittsburgh or Toledo, or even Flint. Perhaps he can even chip in to replace lead-infested water pipes there.   Politico Magazine
