Hearing Held In Rape Case Involving DSU Student.
Testimony is being heard from the woman accusing a 22-year old Saint George man of raping her in Dixie State University off campus housing. The victim told the court yesterday during a preliminary hearing that she and Samuel Butler met on a dating app in January and agreed to go out. The victim says instead he took her to his apartment and forced himself on her. Butler has been investigated for similar crimes in Logan, Orem and in Utah County, according to The Spectrum. He’ll be back in court next month.
