Ex-FLDS Woman Leading Hildale Mayor’s Race
In a first for Hildale, they could have a former member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as their mayor. Though her lead is only about two dozen, Donia Jessop is leading Philip Barlow by about 15 percent. The results won’t be made official until canvassing is finished in a couple of weeks, according to KSTU-TV. Jessop says her priorities for the town previously controlled by the F-L-D-S church is bring in more tourism and more high speed internet.
