During an election year, it is very common for top-of-the-ticket candidates to send much needed campaign dollars down-ticket, and for their respective political party to ramp up their fundraising efforts for ‘all’ of their candidates.

The Republican Party must not have received that memo this year, as the party has all-but alienated their presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

On the other hand, Democrats appear to be singing kumbaya and have mended their broken intra-party fences. The national Democratic Party, unlike their amigos over at the GOP, is spending big bucks to help Hillary Clinton win the presidency.

Now Hillary Clinton’s campaign has announced that it will send $6 million to help “down-ballot Democrats” in identified swing states like Florida, Nevada, Iowa, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and North Carolina.

“We are making dramatic enhancements to our coordinated efforts in seven key battleground states where obviously the presidential race is competitive.”-Clinton Campaign Manager Robby Mook (Miami Herald)

Considering that Florida is the ultimate swing state and that fact that Trump and Clinton are virtually tied in the state according to the latest polls, Florida Democrats could see a larger percentage of the cash injected into their campaigns.

Since Senator Rubio and Rep. Patrick Murphy (D) are in a Senate close race, and Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R) and former Congressman Joe Garcia are deadlocked in their congressional race, there is very good chance that any money sent to Florida will be spent in these two races.
