Classy Hollywood Plans to Make a Movie About Ronald Reagan and Alzheimer’s
Can we stop idolizing Hollywood and holding them up as good role models for the rest of us. Good grief – who decided THIS was a good idea?
According to this, there are plans to make a movie featuring Will Farrell as Ronald Reagan in the early stages on Alzheimer’s disease, which ultimately took the former president’s life. And the movie is being branded as a COMEDY.
After famously portraying George W. Bush in multiple skits and stage productions, Ferrell is trading up for President Ronald Reagan in an upcoming film which is aptly named Reagan. Variety reported that the script was written by Mike Rosalie, and a live reading of the script with Lena Dunham, John Cho and James Brolin received major acclaim in March as they went over a catalog of Hollywood’s top unproduced scripts. According to the script’s logline, the film takes place at the beginning of Reagan’s second term just after he contracts the Alzheimers Disease that led to his real-life dementia in later years. The film itself is reportedly about an intern who is tasked with convincing Reagan that he’s an actor again who must fulfill his presidential duties as part of a new movie.
