Woman Accused Of Trying To Stab Officer.
A woman remains behind bars in the Washington County Jail today on over a dozen charges for trying to stab a Saint George cop. Police say they pulled a car over after a shoplifting call at Walmart last Friday and Megan Hammon reportedly fled the scene after she and two others got out of the car. Officers eventually caught up with the 19-year old and took her to the hospital but when they got there, Hammon had reportedly slipped her cuffs and tried to stab the transporting officer. Saint George News reports Hammon is charged with assault against a peace officer with a weapon or force, along with drug charges and counts related to the shoplifting call.
