According to this, USC held a ‘Consent Carnival’ as a way to educate students on how to interact with each other without committing sexual assault.
In other news, the ‘Consent Carnival’ is a thing now. Meaning the politics of sex have become so convoluted and so insane that colleges have to spend precious time and money educating students on the arbitrary rules of the hookup culture. Because social justice can’t seem to make up its mind about what’s okay and what’s not when it comes to sex.
The sourcelink describes a checklist provided at a “Kissing Booth” at the carnival (complete with a chocolate Hershey’s kiss – ’cause, get it?) that instructs students on how to respond when you’re kissing another person. Because we ALL have time to consult an outside source during a makeout session, don’t we –
On Thursday, the University of Southern California’s student government hosted a “Consent Carnival” that aimed to teach students how to properly hook-up under the “yes means yes” state law that requires so-called affirmative consent throughout any sexual encounter.
