Two Arrested After Fleeing Traffic Stop
Two Arrested After Fleeing Traffic Stop.
Two men are behind bars today after authorities say they ran from a traffic stop on Interstate 15 with over one-million dollars in drugs in the car. An Iron County sheriff’s deputy pulled Robert Lorenzo-Ruiz and Manuel Gallardo over late Sunday night near Cedar City and suspected drugs were inside. Investigators say the pair took off after the deputy asked them to get out of the car. The two men evaded arrest for half a day before they were both taken into custody yesterday morning. Authorities reportedly found one-point-six-million-dollars worth of methamphetamine in the car. Both men are facing numerous charges, including possession with intent to distribute.
