Three fires and over 2 inches of rain in a matter of about an hour.
Kane County Emergency Services says volunteers filled 2,700 sandbags and fire crews tackled three different fires. The fires, all lightning caused, two were easily extinguished, the third near Glendale required air support but was knocked down in a couple hours. Streets were covered with mud and one drainage canal had significant damage. Some roads around town were closed because of flooding. Residents can get sandbags and supplies across the street from the City Pool.
