According to Article of Faith #12, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (as an institution) believes in being subject to governments, whether those governments are righteous or not. In fact, the Church often functions and operates under the impositions of very wicked governments in order to accomplish it’s work.

For this reason, it is a great shame upon all the men of the Church (if they can be called men) that our Church and its leaders are being subjected to and having to subscribe to what Isaiah called a “covenant with death,” and “agreement with hell,” (Isaiah 28:15) in order to advance the work of the Church in Utah and the United States. Worse is that some of our members seem to be reveling in this “precarious and dangerous” state of affairs. (Alma 46:7).

As Latter-day Saint fathers we covenant to “do all that [we do] in the name of the Son….” (Moses 5:8).

Fathers have “no need to have the direction or approval of one holding priesthood keys in order to perform [their] various family functions.” (The Melchizedek Priesthood and the Keys, President Dallin H. Oaks, April 2020).

One of those functions is establishing and/or upholding government.

“Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.” (Declaration if Independence).

We have been counseled to diligently seek after and uphold “honest men and wise men… and good men.” We clearly have not done that as it relates to our elected officers in Utah or the United States. (D&C 98:10).

As men, we are bound to sustain and uphold the respective governments in which we reside ONLY while protected in our inherent and inalienable rights by such governments, which governments are further obligated by God to uphold sacred our freedom of conscience. (D&C 134).

As Latter-day Saint men and fathers, we are also commanded to befriend the constitution. (D&C 98:6). We covenant to keep the commandments of God (Alma 46:23) and are admonished to maintain our rights, religion and our liberty for the sake of “our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children.” (Alma 46:12).

We would not be speaking about vaccines and masks on social media if we had done our duty in regard to liberty and the foundation of liberty that was established in America by God.

Rather than “flying to pieces like glass” (Joseph Smith) because someone got a vaccine, wore a mask or made a statement about showing Christlike love; I will live my covenants, lead my family and fight for Liberty. I will not sleep or hide as a coward behind the Church while it struggles to fulfill its mission because the members have allowed “murderous combinations” to get above us politically (Ether 8:23).

President Nelson is the prophet of God on the earth today. Our problem is not what the leaders of the Church are doing, it is that most men in the church are sleeping, cowardly fools who know nothing but the ways of Babylon.
