Fresh off of being exposed for having conspired with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio to implement the senator’s “Gang of Eight” immigration bill, News Corporation CEO Rupert Murdoch posted a tweet encouraging the GOP to unify behind the eventual nominee, whom from the sounds of it he assumed would be front-runner Donald Trump.
“As predicted, Trump reaching out to make peace with Republican ‘establishment,’” Murdoch tweeted this Wednesday afternoon. “If he becomes inevitable party would be mad not to unify.”
In others words, Murdoch basically said that he and the companies his conglomerate oversees, including Fox News, seemed to be willing to throw their support behind Trump if and when he becomes the nominee.
