Once Again, Democrats are spending Like Drunken Sailors. No Offense to Drunken Sailors.

Add this phrase to the oxymoron list. Government stimulus. Government does not stimulate anything, except spending. And who will pay the bills for their “stimulus”? Yep. You, me and ultimately our grandchildren.
Rest assured, I am very clear that the over spending continued throughout the Trump administration.

It was the one thing for which I was very vocal during that four years. Republicans who allow this behavior and participate in it deserve equal chastisement. They got it from me. I even ran for Congress to point out our representative’s willingness to go along with the spending.
Now that Democrats have been given control of all three branches of government in D.C., the spending has begun. Labeled “government stimulus” by media and not a few members of Congress, here are some things it contains:

  • Increase federal minimum wage to $15 by 2025
  • $300 million to the Agriculture Department to watch for animals that might get SARS-COV-2
  • Payments to farmers, equal to 120% of their indebtedness. Not all farmers. Just those that are “socially disadvantaged”.
  • Good news for students. $91 million for the Department of Education to educate students that are in debt about financial aid.
  • $135 million to the National Endowment for the arts and another $135 million to the National Endowment of the Humanities.
  • $10 million to preserve Native American languages
  • $1 Billion to help us all be more confident in the vaccines
  • $50 million for family planning, including abortion
  • Airline industry gets a bail out of $15 BILLION

Once again, the Democrats are living by their mantra, “Never let a serious crisis go to waste”. Even when the “crisis” is made up by them and their lap dogs in the media.
So congratulations to the spenders in Congress and apologies to drunken sailors. At least sailors eventually sober up. Not so with Congress.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
