Nigerian Scammer Calls Saint George Police
Nigerian Scammer Calls Saint George Police
Chalk this one up as a first: a scammer from Nigeria calling police to complain that someone in America hadn’t sent them any money. Saint George police say they got just such a call yesterday with the man claiming someone in Saint George was supposed to send over 300-dollars to a friend in West Virginia. Police were led to believe he was a scammer after the man hung up when pressed for info about the woman. Police think he may have been trying to record the call to use what officers said to scare people into giving him money.
