When former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney decided to move to Utah, declared citizenship on 1 Jan 2018, and run for Senator Orrin Hatch’s senate seat, not every Utahan was thrilled. To me it seems the Major media outlets were, biased toward Romney with the 3 main media’s outlets running an average of 10 stories each. Consider this, there is a large group of Utahans who view Mitt Romney as a carpet bagger, a professional politician, and a RINO republican who will oppose Donald trump at every turn. In short Mitt Romney will be another Jeff Flake/ John McCain.
This group of conservatives who oppose Romney believe the better choice is Larry Meyers. You may want to consider covering this David Vs Goliath story. This Citizen groundswell. With his newly declared candidacy, limited advertising he is currently at 2.5 % which is good when everything is ROMNEY, Romney, Romney….. Many of us feel Romney is too liberal, too anti Trump, ( he will frustrate Trump’s agenda),and he doesn’t know anything about Utah because he has never lived here for any length of time. Larry Meyers has lived in Utah through good times and bad, he has a stake in Utah ! I want some one like him to represent me in Washington, not a professional politician carpet bagger like Mass Gov Mitt Romney who has never lived in Utah. How can Mass Gov. Mitt Romney truly understand Utah if he never lived in Utah for any length of time ?
