Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Dog With Garden Shears.
on: In:A St. George man is pleading guilty to killing a neighbor’s dog with a tool used for pruning trees and bushes. Kenyon Benson decided to plead guilty yesterday to a misdemeanor charge of aggravated animal cruelty yesterday. Benson was accused of swinging a pair of pruning shears at a small dog that entered his yard last year, hitting it in the head and killing it. Prosecutors recommended that Benson have a 90-day jail term suspended in return for the plea. He will also have to pay restitution and write a letter of apology to the girl who owned the dog.
