We are losing the battle against childhood obesity in America, according to Dr Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
New data released on Monday show progress in the U.S. against obesity, food poisoning, and infections spread in hospitals has been uneven and disappointing.
It comes as a major blow to the CDC following dedicated efforts to fight these health threats.
In a frank and damning self-assessment on Monday, the CDC said its campaign to focus on certain health problems was disappointing.
