Why K-12 education needs entrepreneurship
By Amelia Hamilton / April 27, 2016 /at EducationWatchdog.org
A new piece by the American Enterprise Institute’s Frederick Hess argues that K-12 education needs the entrepreneurial spirit to improve. Hess shares examples of entrepreneurship growing and serving education, from KIPP Charter Schools, Teach for America and Class Dojo, all of which have seen incredible growth in the past decade. “But if you think that we need more engaging school models,” he said, “better career and technical education, improved models of teacher preparation, new ways of learning online, and much else, then entrepreneurship can help get you there.”
