I’ve been trying to figure out why John Kasich is staying in the race. Originally, I thought he was just staying in to prove he could win his home state. He did. Then I thought, OK. Maybe he wants to prove that he has the chops to be VP. Because other than that, there’s no reason for him to stay in the race. He can’t win. The math doesn’t add up.
All of my theories were…wrong. During an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Kasich said “under no circumstances” will he be VP for Cruz or Trump.
“Under no circumstances. Are you people kidding me?” Kasich said. “I’m running for president.”
