Hurricane Officer Charged With Selling Evidence.
A Hurricane police officer will make a court appearance next month on charges he sold evidence without the department’s go-ahead. Prosecutors accused Kurt Tanner of taking the items from department so a relative could sell them on eBay. Investigators say even though the evidence involved was not being used in active cases, Tanner will still face a felony misuse of public funds charge. He has been placed on administrative leave after prosecutors filed charges earlier this week.
