 The Hillary Clinton campaign wanted to make sure that a private speech that the Democratic frontrunner gave Thursday in Denver remained private when it turned on a “white noise” machine that made it impossible for the media, which was outside the venue, to hear anything Clinton said.

Clinton gave her speech at the home of Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper in what was apparently a backyard garden setting.

White noise machines emit a sound or frequency that helps keep conversations private or limited to those in a specific area.

Stan Bush, a reporter for local CBS affiliate KCNC tweeted about the unusual maneuver by the Clinton campaign:

As noted above, the machine was turned off after Clinton finished speaking.

There is nothing wrong with what the Clinton campaign did since it was a private fundraiser, but it is unusual to use such a device in an outdoor setting…. read more here
