Back in 2008, when Barack Obama was first elected, we were told by the mainstream media that the electoral map had permanently changed.
The red state / blue state map — denoting states which lean Republican or Democrat, respectively — had massively realigned in the Democrats’ favor, and it could stay that way for a generation, pundits said.
What has seven years of Obama’s rule done for us? Well, according to a new poll by Gallup, the number of states which identified as a red state was at the highest number it’s ever been during the polling organization’s history of tracking state leaning.
