Flooding Closes Ten Miles Of State Route 143
Flooding Closes Ten Miles Of State Route 143.
State Route 143 is closed for more than ten miles due to at least one wash out from heavy rains. The storms that moved through Sunday caused damage at multiple locations along the stretch of road from Parowan to Brian Head, forcing the closure yesterday. Department of Transportation officials still aren’t sure when the road will reopen. About four miles of Interstate 15 was closed in Iron County yesterday because of rains as well. Both directions were reopened yesterday afternoon.
