Joel Skousen will visit Washington County tonight as he presents a rare in-depth program on current national and international events. The program will be held at the Red Lion Hotel in St. George, 850 S Bluff, from 7-8:30. Admission is free and Seating is very limited. It is sponsored by the Citizens for Constitutional Government, led by WashCity residents Deborah Palmer and Kristine Wagner.

Joel Skousen is a political scientist by training and specializes in the philosophy of law and Constitutional theory. He is the founder and chief editor of World Affairs Brief, a weekly news-analysis service.

Joel Skousen’s World Affairs Brief attempts to track the insider moves underlying the major stories you hear each week. The WAB is not a primary news source–but rather, a source of news analysis. Joel’s purpose and strong point is to help you see how world and national events are shaping up in accordance with the secret agendas of men and groups who control government. The World Affairs Brief puts together the probable set of intentions and motives of the power elite by inductively cataloging their specific actions over time.

He will be talking about past and current events including the COVID-19 pandemic. His latest post states: “This past week the CDC quietly admitted that the vast majority of “Covid 19 deaths’  had other comorbidities listed with Covid 19 as the cause of death, and that only 6% of deaths had no other causes listed. In short, the real numbers point to this being only about as dangerous as a standard flu season. This bombshell admission should be front page news. It shows the emperor pandemic has no clothes. In reality, it never was a danger worthy of being called a pandemic, and certainly not worth severely damaging the economies of all western countries. As Jon Rappoport said, “The Whole Scam Just Fell Apart.” The other 94% of deaths were largely due to chronic disease exacerbated by the viral infection, which is what I and other critics have been saying for months now. No one in the mainstream media has even mentioned this embarrassing admission, let alone demanded to know why the CDC persisted so long in exaggerating the death rate, and is only now admitting the truth. Even worse, every states’ politicians are doubling down on pandemic demands as they continue to push masks for school children and the ban on church and sports gatherings. States are rolling out plans to test millions more Americans, knowing that the rampant false positives will continue to drive the lockdown and coming vaccine agenda, which will surely include forced inoculation.”

His website features a section “How to Analyze the News” and “Strategic Threats.” For instance, did you know: “The Russians are building tremendous new nuclear/biological and chemical weapons systems–all with the assistance of US technology transfers. They are deploying on average 3 new Topol-M 6th generation ballistic missiles per month. We built our last MX over 10 years ago, and are disarming unilaterally. Further, the Russian are building huge underground nuclear bunkers and weapons production facilities in the Ural Mountains, clearly intended to function during a nuclear war. The US intelligence community (under both Republican and Democratic administrations) knows this and are actively covering for the Russians, so the American people won’t become alarmed.

Both Republican and Democratic administrations have been supplying the Chinese with high technology weapons systems for years, knowing that they, in turn, are supplying other enemies (Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, North Korea) as well. Both Russia and China continue to protest against any US anti-ballistic missile system, even though such systems are purely defensive. It doesn’t take a genius to understand that ABM systems only threaten someone who intends to launch ballistic missiles someday.

President Clinton directed our military to absorb a nuclear first strike rather than launch on warning (our only true deterrent to a first strike) and to prepare to retaliate afterward. That first strike will take down all command and control, all bombers (since none are on alert), most missiles, and all satellite and submarine communications.”

So, Some of Skousen’s views are controversial. He considers the Fall of Communism as a “carefully crafted deception,” confirmed by KGB defector Anatoliy Golitsyn, meant to gain Western aid and technology transfers that would eventually end in a resurgence of the Russian threat. Skousen has also written extensively about the evidence of conspiracy by government to cover up its own involvement in numerous black operations such as the JFK assassination, the Oklahoma City bombing, TWA 800 and the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. He is particularly a harsh critic of what he calls the “phony war on terror” used to conjure up justification for continual foreign intervention and the diminution of American constitutional rights; he is also very critical of globalism, communism, and the U.S. interventionist foreign policy.

In late 2007, Skousen gained attention when he gave his support to Ron Paul rather than to fellow LDS church member Mitt Romney in the 2008 US presidential campaign, in a widely circulated YouTube video clip. After John McCain became the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee in early 2008.

“Many Christians think it is wonderful any time government officials mention God or quote from the Bible. I take strong exception, and not because I believe it is improper for government officials to appeal to God. I simply object to dropping the name of God or quoting scripture to cover for evil, and otherwise convince naive troops and Christians in general that an evil cause is just.”

Skousen is also a survivalist that focuses on survival retreat and fallout shelter design and construction, and strategic relocation. His latest two books, The Secure Home and Strategic Relocation–North American Guide to Safe Places, address the myriad economic, biological, and political threats that face families living in today’s complex world. The books also serve as guides for families wishing to relocate to a more secure area and become self-sufficient. In addition, Joel is available to consult privately with individuals to design high security residences and retreats, or to develop contingency plans for emergency situations.

His book, “Strategic Relocation”, defines those threats which are capable of disrupting conditions on a national or international scale, where local governments will not be able to recur to other neighboring communities for assistance. The book presents a comprehensive analysis of all major strategic threats facing North American countries, and how to relocate around, mitigate, and/or avoid them. Areas are rated in detail according to these threats. Retreat strategies are presented for contingency planning even if one cannot relocate permanently.

Because of its low population density and diverse economy, both Skousen and survivalist writer James Wesley Rawles recommend the Intermountain West region of the United States, as a preferred region for relocation and setting up survival retreats.

Skousen was born in San Diego and raised in Oregon, served as a USMC fighter pilot during the Vietnam Era. During the 1980s Skousen was the chairman of the Conservative National Committee. He was also the executive editor of Conservative Digest. He’s the nephew of famous Conservative commentator W. Cleon Skousen.

“In terms of unity, we are at a real disadvantage up against the left. It only takes one thing in common for “liberals” to unite. It only takes one difference of opinion for conservatives to divide.”
