Paula Smith
“My family and I have been residents of St George for 17 years. As Washington County continues to grow, we must take a proactive approach to managed growth and fiscal responsibility, keeping our residents as a priority, not particular groups or special interests. We must also listen to our residents; this aspect seems to be missing within the current political landscape.
I am a wife, a mother, a small business owner, and a former accounting and auditing consultant. I am a homeowner who has witnessed my property taxes skyrocket. I am a resident who thoroughly reviewed our city budget noticing it drastically increased over the past few years. I am a concerned citizen asking questions. I plan to keep asking questions. I want to work for a positive change in transparency and accountability, utilizing a forward-thinking approach in collaboration with our residents to restore integrity and being fiscally conservative with the money that belongs to We the People.”
