Ed Wallace – Publisher of Utah Standard News
Ed Wallace is the creator and publisher of UtahStandardNews.com, founder of the Alliance for Utah’s Future, a statewide organization of conservative activists and policy entrepreneurs that advocate for Constitutional principles in government and Utah values, and award-winning investigative journalist and commentator. He is a staunch advocate for the return of the proper role of government and a defender of the Bill of Rights. He likes to exercise those rights and believes in showing respect and exhibiting manners and thinks that all lives matter.
He is a lifelong musician, singer/songwriter/artist, and writer who grew up in the classic New England liberal bubble and has performed with Pete Seeger, Josh White, Jr., Odetta and others. Since escaping to the West where the states are all square, his politics have evolved into that of a Constitutional conservative with libertarian leanings. He feels much better now.
He has no more ability to restrain his creative impulses than a Tourette’s patient has to stop shouting obscenities. One never knows what he’s going to say, but it will probably be funny or bite to the core.
His favorite quote is by Arundhati Roy: ““Our strategy should be not only to confront empire, but to lay siege to it. To deprive it of oxygen. To shame it. To mock it. With our art, our music, our literature, our stubbornness, our joy, our brilliance, our sheer relentlessness – and our ability to tell our own stories. Stories that are different from the ones we’re being brainwashed to believe.”
