CNN renamed Collusion News Network

CNN trademark

ATT  is the new owner of Time Warner, since about 2018. One feature of this is the acquisition of CNN. CNN is the very wide distributed TV show  for overseas and airport terminals.  If you ‘google’ the search engine with the question ‘how many times did CNN say collusion?’ Google pops up with ‘about 5,610,000 results’. Of course, this has been over the course of about 3 years.

If you ‘google’ the search engine with the question ‘how many times did CNN say Pocahontas?’ Google pops up with ‘about 343,000 results’. This has been also over the course of about  3 years.

If you ‘google’ the search engine with the question ‘how many times did CNN say Khashoggi?’ Google pops up with ‘about  1,170,000 results’. This has been also over the course of about  1 year.

If you ‘google’ the search engine with the question ‘how many times did CNN say never-Trump movement?’ Google pops up with ‘about 8,120,000 results’. This has been also over the course of about  4 years, about 2 million per year.

If you ‘google’ the search engine with the question  ‘how many times did CNN say names of never trumpers? Google pops up with ‘about 404,000 results’. This has been also over the course of about  4 years.

If you ‘google’ the search engine with the question how many times did CNN say Christ’ Google pops up with ‘about 31,100,000 results’. This has been also over the course of about  39 years,  about 800,000 a year.

Unless CNN were monitored 24 hours a day for 4 years, it would be quite impossible to get absolute numbers for these questions.  But, the google count is a simple survey of things which made their way onto the internet and associated with CNN. Comparing such results over time may direct

Clearly, the ‘collusion’ stories had varying results in comparison to  selected other topics.  In that time, from 2015 to 2019, CNN’s  audience was stable, but depended on collusion, to avoid declining.  In the weeks since the Mueller report was released in part, ratings have dropped from ten percent to  a third.   So does CNN need to recast its approach to bring the audience back? Perhaps CNN could change its name to emphasize the ‘collusion’ approach.

AT&T, CNN’s parent, or great grand parent, has recast its name over the past century. Originally a stock market symbol abbreviated to ‘T’ for American Telephone & Telegraph,  ATT became a  long distance service after a break up ordered as part of an anti trust settlement in the 1980s.  Then  AT&T became All That & Then some, according to theFreeDictionary.com, and All The Time, and Attention and Attached, The Apprentice Technical Training (ATT) School for the Navy’s Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS), Anaerobic Treatment Technology, Automatic Turbine Testing, Attenuation, Attempts  (Football), and so forth.

AT&T has decided to capitalize on CNN’s monopoly of collusion coverage by proposing to rename the abbreviation to stand for Collusion News Network. We await the announcement.  But if that doesn’t catch on, another abbreviation may be in the works.   Comedy News Now (competing with Comedy central),  Cornball No Nothings (from a 1850s political party),  Chaos Needs News (eyes on the site), Creative News Network (fake news).
