In the wake of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s public health scare on Sunday came almost immediate backlash over her campaign’s decision to keep reporters — and voters in general — in the dark about her condition for more than an hour.

According to Edward Klein, who has researched and written numerous books about the Clinton family, former President Bill Clinton had his own reasons for being displeased at his wife’s handling of the event.

As Western Journalism reported, the former secretary of state suffered what her team first called an overheating spell that forced her to make an early exit from the 9/11 memorial ceremony she attended Sunday morning in New York City.
