Entrance Fees Could Go Up At National Parks
Entrance Fees Could Go Up At National Parks
You could soon have to pay a lot more to get into Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks. Federal officials are proposing increasing the fee for private vehicles in both parks, plus 15 others, to 70-dollars, more than double the current 30-dollars. Park Service officials say the increase would be used to make a dent in the massive eleven-billion-dollar price tag for deferred maintenance. No word on when federal officials will decide on the increases.
