Ed Wallace – January 31, 2017

People have taken advantage, and misused their freedom, to create a “wretched mess of narcissism, self-abuse, self-titillation, and juvenile, regressive craving for the perverse and obscene.” The societal affect, intended AND unintended, is destroying the mores of our culture and is working to destroy our freedoms , particularly in religion. The primary weapon has been political correctness, which utilizes the guilt of the descendants of the colonial rule by European powers, in a way that automatically reacts against anything that remotely hints at being guilty of mistreating those who they controlled.

In the per-colonial period, PC would be understood to mean possessing the innate ability and humanness to show compassion and care to our fellow man. However, in our modern world, this definition has become devoid of any human element. Their descendants, those who would want to be careful not to repeat the sins and misdeeds of their ancestors even in the slightest, likewise, employed it as a gesture of atonement for their ancestors’ guilt. That guilt stems from crimes ranging from plundering the societies that were under their control, treating their inhabitants as second class citizens, and dividing nations and peoples. And, who wants to be accused of looking guilty of such a hideous list of atrocities? For those who are guilt ridden; all they have to do is nowadays is pull out the PC card and their sins will wash away, their conscience will shine, and their bleeding heart will remove the dark stains and pains of being looked upon as processing vile and hateful similarities of their ethical heritage.

Or will it? PC has become a quick fix for modern day problems and has been stretched to the limits by being a tool to silence anyone who disagrees with and/or to hide double standards and real bigotry without any discussion whatsoever. It’s exploiters are controlled and addicted by it. PC now shapes societal behavior and our way of thinking. It prevents people from being truthful to themselves and plays to their fear that they might hurt another. This concern that their life might be at the expense of the freedom of others prevents them from becoming who they were destined to be. They believe that PC will make them ‘kind’, ‘nice’ and ‘loved’. They are indoctrinated into believing that what they have been taught about their own self should be sacrificed on the alters of justice for ‘the other’ first. Instead of creating more freedom, PC actually destroys it.

Nothing infuriates me more than those who would join hands with our slayers and project it upon others, describing us in ugly and diabolical terms as being haters, warring against women, racists, etc, etc, merely to deflect the attention away from their own transgressions. I say to those: PC is the manifestation of YOUR disorder, not the solution. I urge you to search for your soul, your own un-corrupt one, and look into yourselves, if you can still find it under the relative and ambiguous terms and the rubble of false gods. Unwrap that goodness. Hold it up and let it breath. Cleanse and rehabilitate it from the intoxicating drug and destructive effect of the called ‘political correctness’. If you don’t, eventually the mask will fall and we will all see the destruction that the excessive use of PC has wrought and almost reduced to the point of no return., under the guise of exercising Constitutional rights.

Our Constitution has been subject to conservative and liberal interpretations as well as the positive and negative effects they have subjected upon our country. Freedom gave us America. This is the most glaring and positive result that the exercise of free will by a liberty minded people has produced. What would be better than that? What would you replace it with? Forget the ‘good’ and ‘bad’. Either things work or they don’t. Maybe when our ‘modern’ culture learns to understand the freedom we have, and begins to appreciate it, and the heroic sacrifices made to obtain it, we’ll preserve it and protect it better
